All My Relations Book Club: Becoming Kin

Join the All My Relations Book Club for our next gathering as we discuss Becoming Kin: An Indigenous Call to Unforgetting the Past and Reimagining Our Future by Anishinaabe writer Patty Krawec.

This is a hybrid gathering, and everyone is welcome to join us either in person at Tidelands in Seattle or online via Zoom. The zoom link will be added and sent out closer to the date.

In Becoming Kin, Krawec asks us to reconsider the histories we have been taught and imagine what becomes possible when we understand ourselves as relatives—to one another, to the land, and to the more-than-human world.

Weaving together personal story, history, Indigenous ways of knowing, and cultural analysis, Krawec explores how settler colonialism disrupted relationships and asks what it might mean to recover ways of living rooted in kinship, reciprocity, and responsibility.
