About the event
On April 29th & 30th from 6–9 PM, Tidelands welcomes Amelia Andress to lead a Red Ribbon Skirt Workshop and Sewing Circle in preparation for May 5, the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous People.
Participants may register for $50, which includes all materials needed to make a red ribbon skirt with up to 4 ribbons. Guests may also bring their own sewing, beading, or mending projects and join the circle (free of charge). We just want to be in community with you, the registration fee is only to cover the material costs; but if it isn't do-able for you, feel free to drop us an email or call us for scholarship attendance; we want all our sisters to have the opportunity to join us if they'd like to.
No prior experience necessary.
*This gathering is intended for Native American / Indigenous identifying relatives and offers space…
